Project Costing & Pricing
Overview

Double Click into Each Component

[1], [2] = Qty x (Material unit cost + Labor unit cost + Other unit cost)
- Line items can be [1] mapped items (usually equipment like EVSE) or [2] Additional costs (usually other costs like site survey fees)
- Labor unit cost = Unit labor (hrs/unit) x Labor rate ($/hr)
[3] % Adders = % of Total project cost / price or Material / labor subtotal cost / price

[4] Each line item (mapped items & additional costs) can be marked up
- You can set different markups for material vs. labor vs. other costs
[5] Project-level adjustments can be applied as % of total project cost / price or as $ amount at the entire project level (vs. line item level)
- These adjustments are blended proportionally across line items and "hidden" from customer-facing proposals
[6] Taxes can be calculated per line item by specifying:
- Taxable (y/n) for Material, Labor, and Other
- Tax rate (%) for Material, Labor, Other costs at the project level

[7] Additional adjustments can be added to the project price:

How Items Get Initial Costs
(1) Enter the default price in Charger List or Price Book

(2) Add item to project

(3) Item is initialized with the organization default

❗We copy over the value initial value. So, you can override the costs per item at the project, and it will not affect either the organization default or other projects' value.💡
Quoting Categories
Set default Quoting Categories in your Price Book

Every line item you add will get a default Quoting Category, according to the Price Book's Category mapping

These Quoting Categories determine how quotes are organized in the proposal document's pricing table

💡Hint: want to re-order or change the visibility of certain Categories on the proposal's pricing table? You can do this in the Document Builder settings
