Every site you design in Monterra starts as a project. Create one from the Projects page (the landing page at app.monterra.ai).

Add a project

  1. Click Add project in the top left.
  2. Enter the Company name. This is the only required text field.
  3. Enter the Address. Leave Auto-detect address on and pick a result from the suggestions. Address coordinates auto-fill from the selection.
  4. Click Save.

The project opens in the list with a generated ID. Optional fields you can fill on the same form:

  • First name, Last name, Email, Phone for the site contact
  • Site name and Site category if the address alone is ambiguous
  • Status, Region, Sector, Utility for filtering and reporting
  • Customer ID and Custom Project ID if you cross-reference an external system

Entering an address manually

Turn off Auto-detect address if the site has no street address or sits on a parcel the address lookup cannot find. Enter Latitude, Longitude, and a display Address by hand. Latitude must fall between -90 and 90, longitude between -180 and 180.

Finding the project again

New projects appear at the top of the Projects list. Use the search box in the top bar to filter by company, address, ID, or any populated field. Click a row to open the side panel with project details.

Editing the address later

Open the project's side panel and click the edit icon next to the address, or click Edit to reopen the full form. Changing the address re-runs the utility lookup.

Tips

  • Type the full word in addresses (South, not S) so the lookup matches.
  • The Utility field auto-fills after you pick an address. Click the field to override it.
