Drop a floorplan onto the Design map when the satellite view is not enough to lay out chargers indoors or under cover. The floorplan replaces the satellite tile on the active level.
Uploading a floorplan
- In the top bar, click Floorplan.
- In Add Floorplan, drop in an image or PDF, or click Upload file. For a multi-page PDF, enter the page number to use.
- Draw a reference line on the image by clicking two points on something of known length (a doorway, a parking stall, a dimensioned wall), then enter the actual length.
- Click Place floorplan on map.
A reference line is required before placement so distances and Auto-size results are accurate.
Positioning, rotating, and scaling
Click the floorplan to select it, then click Adjust image in the inspector to enter transform mode.
- Drag the floorplan to move it.
- Drag a corner handle to scale.
- Drag the rotation handle to rotate.
Press Enter or click Save changes to commit. Press Esc or click Cancel to discard.
To re-anchor the scale to a real-world distance after placement, open the Floorplan menu and click Recalibrate. Draw a line on a known dimension, enter its length, and the floorplan and everything on it rescale together.
Opacity
With the floorplan selected, use the Opacity slider in the inspector to fade it from solid to transparent. Lower it to confirm alignment against the satellite underneath, then raise it back up.
Replacing or removing
To remove the floorplan from the active level, open the Floorplan menu and click Remove, then confirm. Removal cannot be undone.
To replace, remove the current floorplan and upload a new one.
Tips
- Pick a reference line on something straight and clearly dimensioned. A short or skewed line magnifies scaling errors.
- Use separate levels for separate floorplans (each level holds one floorplan).
