Exporting your site layout as an image

Export Layout saves the current map view of a project as a PNG that you can drop into client proposals, permit packages, and site presentations.

Running Export Layout

1. Open the project on the Design page.
2. Pan and zoom the map to frame the view you want to capture.
3. In the right drawer, click Export Layout.

The file downloads as export-layout-<timestamp>.png. The capture matches what you see on screen, rendered at your display's pixel density.

What's included

The export captures the active map level exactly as framed, including:

• Aerial or map imagery under the design
• Equipment markers and their labels
• Conduit runs, trenching, wiring, and any drawn shapes or text annotations
• The Map legend pinned in the top-right of the image, listing the symbols and run types in use

Only the level currently in view is captured. For a multi-level site, switch levels and run Export Layout again for each one.

Tips

• Close the legend before exporting if you want a clean image, then run Export Layout.
• For a higher-resolution file, run the export from a high-DPI display (a Retina or 4K monitor). The capture scales with your screen.
