The Design page left sidebar holds three places to attach context to a project: Photos for site imagery, Information for project files, and Comments for written notes. Anyone on the project with edit access can add to each.

Open the Photos panel

Click Photos in the left sidebar, then upload images from your browser.

Upload photos

In the Photos panel:

  1. Click Select Category and pick a category, or leave Uncategorized.
  2. Click + Upload photo or drag images onto the drop zone.
  3. PNG, JPG, and HEIC are accepted. Multiple files upload at once.

Click a photo to open it. Set the Title and Description in the side form. Edits save automatically.

Pin photos to map markers

To tie a photo to a specific piece of equipment:

  1. With the Photos panel open, click the marker on the map.
  2. The panel filters to that marker's photos and shows a Back to gallery header.
  3. Upload while the marker is selected. New photos attach to it.

You can also upload from the marker side. Click any marker, open Photos in the Inspector, and drop files into Upload File. Click View photos to jump back to the full panel.

Add notes

Two kinds of notes exist:

  • Project notes. Open Comments in the left sidebar, type in the compose box, and press Cmd+Enter (or Ctrl+Enter) to post. Everyone on the project sees the thread.
  • Photo notes. Open any photo and fill in Description. Use this for what the photo shows or what needs follow-up.

Upload and download files

Project files live under the Information tab in the left sidebar, in the Files section.

  • To upload, click Upload, then drop a file or click to browse. Any file type works.
  • To download, hover a file row and click Download.
  • PDFs also have a Preview action that opens the file inline.

Share with collaborators

Anything in Photos, Comments, and Files is visible to every user with access to the project. There is no per-item sharing step. To bring a teammate in, add them to the project in Manage access from the project header.

Tips

  • Deleting a photo or file removes it for everyone on the project.
